About me

I grew up in Nova Scotia and there’s something about this place that has happily kept me here. A quirky kid, I was fascinated by art and self-expression, even though my bedroom was always a giant mess.

I studied Marketing at Acadia University and before opening my design practice, I worked at an agency. In 2015, a friend noticed my design style at home and approached me to design a new restaurant in our neighbourhood. I agreed and the experience shifted my career path completely. Determined to explore the industry further, I began spending evenings and weekends working for a seasoned designer and soon started taking on my own projects and building my business. I’ve been lucky to have incredible mentors support me along the way.

A keen eye, gut instincts, and learned experience guide all my projects. I believe that a space should feel comfortable and uplifting, be full of character, and foster your ideal lifestyle. I encourage my clients to take calculated risks and curate a space that feels entirely their own. I see my role as a facilitator – helping clients tell their story and create a home they love; one that makes them feel their very best. I see beauty in patina and imperfection, and feel that nothing in a home should feel too precious. Like your favourite wool sweater or artisanal dishes, I’ll suggest to wear it lovingly until it’s worn-out and to use the good dishes everyday.

My work is influenced by clean lines, new takes on classics, lots of texture and colour, and a healthy injection of humour. My aesthetic is relaxed but polished, soulful, and takes inspiration from life by the sea.
